Ryan Jans was the 50th athlete, being selected into the Mountain Bike Junior Development Squad for Western Victoria following an application process. Participation in the squad includes entry to both Victorian and National major races. The first National series race is January 7 & 8 in Orange, NSW; while the first Victorian series race will be in Castlemaine on December 10. The National series concludes with round seven in March before the National Championships.
Tennis player Ruby Rothman was the 49th athlete, earning a wildcard into the National Claycourt Championships in Canberra. Ruby played the singles, reaching the second round.
Athletes across all of the 22 sports WestVic is connected with and supporting are represented in the 50 athletes attaining national level.

FedUni WestVic Academy of Sport currently supports 127 athletes across those 22 sports.
