After success at the Victorian Country Championships, Alana went on to compete in the Victoria State Track & Field Championships at Lakeside Stadium, Albert Park. The Victorian Championships saw all the best athletes from all over Victoria compete over two weekends in late February, and early March. Alanna claimed victoryin the U20 5000m walk, with a time of 24:33:32. Following her success at the Victorian Track & Field Championships, Alanna went on to compete at the Australian Track & Field Championships at Olympic Park, Sydney. Competing in the U20 women’s 10,000m walk final, Alana placed2nd with a time of 49:47. Off the track, Alanna competed in the Oceania & Australian Racewalking Championships at Fawkner Park, Melbourne.The event featured Australia’s best race walkers, as well as those from New Zealand. Alana had an outstanding performance, walking a time of 48:04 for 10km, landing her the U20 Oceania title, and a World Junior qualifying time.
