Bacchus Marsh Grammar student and FedUni WestVic Academy of Sport athlete Graeme Frislie reigned supreme at the 2019 Oceania Track Championships at the Adelaide Super-Drome which concluded last Sunday.

Frislie, 17, a track cycling star of the future and current Victorian Institute of Sport (VIS) Scholarship holder, headlined the event with outstanding performances culminating in him winning two gold medals and two silver medals.

Frislie dominated his respective events, winning the Male Under 19 Madison and Under 19 Team race.
Frislie also collected a pair of silver medals in the Under 19 Scratch Race and in the Under 19 Omnium race.

Corey Saitta, Executive Officer of the WestVic Academy of Sport said, “Graeme is the ultimate professional. His commitment to his preparation and training is meticulous. He has a genuine desire to want to achieve the ultimate in his sport. He has a terrific temperament. He is tactically astute, mentally strong and rides with poise, composure and purpose in big races, when the pressure is at its greatest”.
