In January this year, Rothman entered the 14 and under Kings Park Junior Championships in Melbourne, where she ultimately prevailed in the final to win the tournament. A week later, Rothman played in the 14 and under Geelong Junior Gold tournament. Although being eligible to play in the tournament again next year, Rothman defeated the number one seeded player in a tough three-set match on route to the final. Rothman proved too strong for her opponent in the final, winning in straight-sets, 6-2, 6-4, to claim the title. Corey Saitta – Executive Officer, FedUni WestVic Academy of Sport (M) 0417 044 419
